I booked Heliworks a couple of weeks before I arrived in Queenstown. I chose ‘Fiorland Finest’ package. Their office admin, Geet, was very kind and helpful in arranging our booking. On the day of the booking we were running a bit late and they were very flexible in adjusing the departure time.
Our pilot for the day was Dave and he was very friendly and knowledgeable throughout the whole trip. Our family was very impressed with the views and the landing spots.
All in all, I do recommend Heliworks as your helicopter company if you are choosing to go for a helicopter ride during your stay in Queenstown.

The day was amazing, your staff is professional and great to work with, your helicopter was new, clean and comfortable, and the cost was even less than you quoted us! Had a great trip up to the ledge on Cecil Peak. The only footprints in the snow when we arrived belonged to a (long gone) hare. We felt like we were on the top of the world – amazing scenery and such a privilege to be there. Our pilot, Dave, was great – really knowledgeable and took some great photos of us as well. Great trip and highly recommended.

Denise and I had the privilege of taking a chopper trip out over Milford with Heliworks in late August. We had a fantastic time and the service and professionalism of Mark and the rest of the Heliworks team were outstanding. Mark  was great and he very successfully made Denise who is normally very nervous feel extremely comfortable. The weather was perfect and we had an awesome experience which we will be talking about with friends for a long time. They made the experience so easy, enjoyable and fun.

Last week I escorted a TV film crew from China through parts of the South Island. One of our activities in Queenstown was a 1 hour helicopter flight for aerial shots over the region on the morning of November 28.  The helicopter was flown by your senior pilot Alfie Speight.  The first words I heard from the crew as they emerged from the aircraft were “wonderful” and “perfect”.  A little later they explained in more detail that Alfie was so good he knew exactly where to place the helicopter to enable them to get the right shot. I did thank him at the time, but would like to acknowledge Alfie’s work in writing and ensure you are aware of the crew’s satisfaction with this exercise.  It is this sort of professionalism from Alfie that allows a film crew to get the right shots in the can so they can promote New Zealand back in their home country.  It also makes my job as an escort that much easier – the crew members were absolutely fizzing for the rest of that “perfect day”.

Hi Heliworks,
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say a huge THANK YOU. I was in Queenstown in early August with some friends (Leonie & Tony Loiterton) and we had the opportunity to take the “Lord Of The Rings” Scenic flight with a snow landing – what an experience, one that I will never forget. Sam: I must say you would have to have one of the best jobs in the world, I’m sure it would have to beat sitting at a desk each day. The warmth with which you welcomed us to the office and looked after Leonie while Tony and I took our “joy flight” was very much appreciated and something that you don’t get every day. Queenstown is very much on my must go back list and will definitely include another flight. Thank you all again. Kind Regards,

I just wanted to thank Heliworks and in particular our pilot Alfie Speight, who took us on a 4 hour tour on 25 April 2009.  My two sons and I had the time of our lives and it was a privilege to have Mr. Speight as our guide.  I’m still completely blown away by the incredible beauty I saw and the vantage point via a helicopter tour is something I know I will never forget. I have a digital picture frame on my desk at work (I’m an Army wife currently living in S. Korea with my soldier and our 4 children and I work as a DOD contractor) and I can’t tell you how many people stop in and ooh-and-ahhh over the photos from the tour.  Soldiers, family members and Korea friends alike are astounded by the beauty I was fortunate enough to witness on this tour. I’m including some photos I hope Mr. Speight will get to see.  Considering I took several hundred on this tour alone it was hard to narrow it down.  Thank you again so much for the incredible hospitality and phenomenal tour.  It was well worth every penny and I am so hooked I plan on visiting NZ once a year from now on. Many thanks again,
